Gatorland's
All-New Splash Park
Have a soaking-wet time
with water-gushers at the Gatorland's all-new whimsical
Splash Park. In the middle of all the action Splash
Park is perfect for those hot hazy days of summer. Kids
just love to splash around while in the middle of all
the action. Nearly a quarter-acre of high-energy thrills,
jump in the shooting water guns from dueling dragons,
get soaked under giant egrets dumping water from their
beaks, or run under zany old jalopy shooting water from
every direction.
Swamp Walk
Take a self-guided tour down a winding trail hosting
a rare glimpse of ancient Cypress trees untouched by
man for hundreds of years. View the remaining Cypress
stumps from logging that depleted the forest in the
late 1800's. Naturally, amidst the everglades you'll
be sure to find gators frolicking in the sun. Dare to
explore Gatorland's Swamp Walk featuring a host of special
enclosures that house exotic animals. Bedazzled around
every corner including birds, alligators, turtles, snakes,
and swamp orchids.
Jungle
Crocs
Showcasing the most vicious crocs on
the planet, these animals can weight nearly 1,000 pounds
after eating. In an attempt to find the meanest crocs
in existence, Gatorland's own Owen Godwin scoured the
world over. One Gatorland's most vicious croc is none
other than Sultan sporting his harem of female companions.
African crocs, responsible for human tragedy, can measure
up to 20 feet in length. Capable of jumping to amazing
heights meet Gatorland's Cuban residents Lucy and Ricardo.
Very Merry Aviary
Get upclose to Gatorlands feathery friends when you
immerse yourself in the Lorikeets habitat. At Very Merry
Aviary, kids can feed these adorable curious little
friends a delicious pollen nectar and fruit treat. These
little rascals are specialists at gathering nectar as
they probe flowers petals. Don't miss this opportunity
for a more intimate experience for you and the whole
family.
Express Railroad
"All aboard" shouts the jolly conductor as the Express
Railroad pulls away from the station. One of Florida's
first train rides, a must see, features Ol' Iron Horse
replica. Proudly debuting in 1961, Ol' Iron Horse, was
fashioned as 1800's style train. Now in retirement,
Ol' Iron Horse transported 7.5 million around Gatorland
during the space of 45 years. Jump aboard Gatorland's
new Express train that immerses guests into the wild
natural habitats of Jungle Crocs, Breeding Marsh, and
Bird Rockery areas.
Allies
Barnyard
When children make a quick stop at
Allie's Barnyard, they immediately make some new friends.
At the Barnyard, kids will be mesmerized by these cuddly
animals that eat right out of their hands. Allie's is
notorious for up-close encounters where making new friends
is an everyday experience. Kids will simply adore meeting
Gracie, one of the Barnyard's favorite goats. At Allie's,
you'll encounter goats, lamas, and five pure-breed sheep.
Alligator Island
Explore one the most thrilling attractions at Gatorland's
Alligator Island. Travelers flock from every corner
of the globe to see Alf, an extraordinary American Crocodile
weighting nearly 1,000 pounds. As you meander unwittingly
down the winding trails, encounter some of the biggest
crocs in Florida. As 15-foot gators come for a bite
to eat, experience close-up encounters with these amazing
creatures. Observe as the crocs on Alligator island
frolic as they soak up the Florida sun. Not only do
the gators hatch their eggs under the palm trees, but
several species of birds including Snowy Egrets make
their nests in the branches.
